New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs’ girlfriend Cardi B celebrated the team’s 10-7 win against the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship game at Mile High on Sunday. Diggs caught five receptions for 17 yards in the win that takes the Patriots to the Super Bowl for the first time in post Tom Brady-Bill Belichick era.
On Sunday, after the win, Cardi B celebrated the win in style on Instagram. She posted iced photos of Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel and owner Robert Kraft, indicating their role in bringing the Patriots back to the Super Bowl.
The Patriots and the Broncos were tied 7-7 at halftime. However, in the second half, when the game was affected by snowy weather, the Patriots got the edge with a field goal. Their defensive unit was sharp and didn’t allow the Broncos any chance of making a comeback in the final quarter of the game.
Cardi B’s Boyfriend Stefon Diggs Calls Out Trolls
On Sunday, Stefon Diggs was playing his third conference championship game. Previously, he was here with the Minnesota Vikings and the Buffalo Bills, but both times he was denied the Super Bowl dream. However, this time, Diggs didn’t suffered the same fate with the Patriots as he helped the franchise win the AFC title and go to the Super Bowl for the first time in his career.
In his post-game interview, Diggs remembered to call out his haters who said he was washed up.
“They were calling me washed,” Diggs told NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe. “Saying I didn’t have it anymore. I just wanted to prove to myself I am who I say I am. This team took a chance on me,” Diggs said. “I just wanted to make them proud.”
Though he didn’t perform significantly well on Sunday, he has helped the Patriots reach here as he is the leading receiver on the team with over 1,000 yards on receptions. He’ll be in California to play the Super Bowl and will likely be joined by his partner Cardi B there. The rapper recently welcomed their first baby together.
