It is no secret that Taylor Swift considers herself a massive New York Knicks fan, even appearing during Game 4 of the NBA Finals to cheer the team on. With her reported wedding with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce happening on Friday, Tay-Tay reportedly invited a few Knicks players to her reported wedding at Madison Square Garden, including Finals MVP Jalen Brunson and other Knicks starters.
Game 4 was that classic where Jalen Brunson led the New York Knicks to the biggest comeback in NBA Finals history, erasing a record 29-point deficit against the San Antonio Spurs to win Game 4 at home in Madison Square Garden, where Swift and Kelce are reportedly getting married.
Taylor Swift reportedly lost her voice screaming as the Knicks mounted that improbable comeback, with her voice being horse as she made her speech her Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction just one night after.
Should the rumors be true, Jalen Brunson, along with Josh Hart, Mikal Bridges, OG Anunoby and Karl-Anthony Towns, will be part of that invite list, along with around 1,000 other guests which may be including a who’s who of the entertainment industry and sports.
Insider Explains Why Taylor Swift Wants the New York Knicks Starter Attending Her Wedding To Travis Kelce
The New York Post’s Page Six was the first outlet to have reported on the Knicks starters’ invitation to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding, and it was an anonymous insider with knowledge on the matter who told the outlet about it. That same insider explained why she chose to invite Jalen Brunson and company.
She’s a huge fan of the Knicks and really wants to be there to support them,” the insider said.
Before that Game 4 Finals game, Taylor Swift has been seen cheering the Knicks on from time to time and has grown to be part of the vaunted “Celebrity Row” alongside regulars like Ben Stiller, Spike Lee and others.
As for the wedding itself, reports indicate that best friend Selena Gomez, as well as the Kelce family, including brother Jason, and the Kansas City Chiefs roster, will be in attendance.
