Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills are scheduled to play against the Denver Broncos on Saturday. The Bills quarterback recently led his team to a thrilling 27-24 win against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Allen was his usual dominant self in that game, completing 28 of 35 passes for 273 yards and one touchdown. He also rushed for 33 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries. Now, ahead of the game against the Broncos, fans want to know if the Bills quarterback is healthy.
Is Josh Allen Hurt?
Yes, Josh Allen is currently fielding physical issues, but not serious enough that will make him miss the playoff contest entirely. In the Bills’ latest injury report, the quarterback was mentioned because of foot, knee and right finger soreness.
The foot soreness, in particular, has been present since late regular season into the playoffs. Meanwhile, the knee and finger soreness were added to his injury designation after the wild-card round win against the Jaguars.
During the wild-card game, Allen briefly went to the medical tent for a concussion check and was cleared.
“Pro Football Doc” Dr. David Chao, Allen’s injury is the result of his rough playing style and it will be a little bit of concern.
“Josh Allen is hurt, not injured. He hurt his hand. He hurt his knee. He’s been in the tent twice,” Chao said on his SIC Score show. “Josh Allen is a Humvee. He gets banged up and he keeps on rolling. Hurt, not injured. Don’t see it being an effect on him.”
Will Josh Allen Play This Week vs. Broncos?
While Josh Allen is hurt in the sense that he’s dealing with soreness and bruises to his foot, knee, and finger, there’s no indication of a major injury that would keep him out right now. He has been upgraded to full participation in practice, giving the sense that there are no underlying issues with any of his injuries.
Therefore, he is expected to play in the divisional round against the Broncos, barring any last-minute injuries.
