The sweepstakes to snag former Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh continue. On Wednesday, Jan. 14, football reporter Mike Garafolo asserted through an X repost that Harbaugh will continue meeting other teams despite the New York Giants being the frontrunner to land him.
According to Garafolo, Harbaugh discussing deals with other squads remains the plan, as reports have suggested that the tactician did not reach an agreement with the New York-based franchise. Garafolo reposted the report by fellow reporter Ian Rapoport.
However, Harbaugh has not yet rejected the Giants and is merely exploring offers from other NFL franchises. Other squads that are being connected to Harbaugh are the Atlanta Falcons and the Tennessee Titans, one of whom he is presumably meeting next.
Harbaugh was recently dismissed by the Ravens after their 2025-26 campaign came to an end on Jan. 4 with a 26-24 loss at the hands of coach Mike Tomlin’s Pittsburgh Steelers. At that point, Baltimore was already out of this year’s playoff contention. They finished the year with an overall record of 8-9 as the second seed in the AFC North.
John Harbaugh Had A Productive Meeting With The New York Giants
Despite not signing a contract with the team, John Harbaugh has not closed that door yet. The New York Giants faithful should not worry too much when it comes to their squad’s chances to get him.
A recent report by football reporter Jordan Schultz suggested that Harbaugh had a productive meeting with the New York-based team, and discussions will continue.
