Joe Schoen’s Daughter Claps Back At Trolls As NY Giants GM Comes Under Fire After Press Conference Comments

New York Giants general manager Joe Schoen was retained while head coach Brian Daboll was fired midway through the 2025 season. He has been at the helm of the front office since the end of the 2021 season, but his tenure has resulted in bad results, including back-to-back double-digit losses and a disappointing 4-13 finish in 2025.

In the press conference after another poor season, Schoen acknowledged the team’s shortcomings but didn’t take concrete accountability. Fans have trolled the general manager for his lack of handling the Giants properly and his evasive press conference comments.

Amid this backlash, a video from Schoen’s household is doing the rounds on the internet, in which the GM’s daughters are enjoying reading the trolling reactions against their father as they erupt in laughter over the reactions.

“POV We read hate comments about my dad and family at wine night.”

Schoen and his wife Marie are parents to three children: daughters Sydney and Harper Grace and son Carson.

John Harbaugh Not Answering Joe Schoen But Does It Matter

The Giants recently introduced John Harbaugh as their new head coach. After 18 seasons, the Baltimore Ravens fired Harbaugh, who immediately became the No. 1 coaching candidate, so much so that even Donald Trump, the President of USA, endorsed him on social media.

The Giants signed him to a five-year deal worth around $100 million and in his contract was a clause that mentions he’ll be answerable to ownership rather than general manager Joe Schoen.

Talking about this clause, Harbaugh said:

“It’s really not that important. In the big picture, in the big scheme of things, I think it’s kind of overblown just a bit in terms of how it works. The main thing is that it works and that we work together.”

Schoen also said that it doesn’t matter much and in the end, both will work together to make final decisions for the betterment of the Giants.

“Everywhere I’ve been, the head coach and general manager work together. That’s the only way it’s going to work,” Schoen said. “I’m not worried about it, like I said, that’s just something on a piece of paper, it doesn’t matter. We’re going to work together, and we’re going to reach a final conclusion. And it’s always going to be about what’s best for the New York Giants.”

Meanwhile, observers see this as a break in hierarchy in the Giants organization, and it may prove to be troublesome in the wrong run, assuming both these strong-minded people don’t go along well.
