Though Tyreek Hill is with the Miami Dolphins, he posted something in the interest of his former team, the Kansas City Chiefs. Hills chimed in on the rumors regarding the Chiefs’ interest in bringing back Eric Bieniemy as their offensive coordinator, reuniting him with head coach Andy Reid and quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The union of this trio delivered two Super Bowls for the Chiefs.
It is no longer a rumor as the Chiefs have reportedly brought back Bieniemy as the new offensive coordinator. Previously, Beiniemy worked as the Chiefs’ running backs coach from 2013 to 2017 and as offensive coordinator from 2018 to 2022.
Hill drew attention to himself by posting a cryptic message:
“EB to the Chiefs hm.”
With this message, Hill might be indicating where his future in the NFL lies. It won’t be the first time that his social media activity gets speculated for a potential reunion with the Chiefs, where he won the Super Bowl.
Tyreek Hill Lauded Eric Bieniemy In Shaping Him Early
After being drafted in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL draft, Tyreek Hill made his NFL debut the same year as a running back. A video from the past resurfaced recently, in which he lauded the then-running backs coach for shaping his thoughts.
“When I first got in the league, I was a running back and E.B (Eric Bieniemy) coaches running backs,” Hill said. “He made me understand who I was as a player, and to him, that was bigger than football. Like, playing football is part of the blessing.”
The duo worked together for six seasons in Kansas. Except for 2017 and 2019, Hill recorded over 1,000 receiving yards every single season for the franchise. In the process, he also caught 56 touchdowns.
After the 2021 season, Hill signed a lucrative contract with the Miami Dolphins and few years later, after winning the Lombardi Trophy in Super Bowl LVII, Beiniemy also left the franchise.
With Miami, Hill continued to flourish, but since 2024, his production has taken a significant dip. There’s a possibility that Miami could trade him this offseason and if that’s the case Beineimy could be recommending his name.
