Jaylen Waddle is headed to the Denver Broncos.
The Broncos have agreed to send their 2026 first-round pick (pick No. 30) as well as third and fourth-round picks in exchange for Waddle and a 2026 fourth-round pick.
Waddle was a trade candidate last season, with Miami reportedly receiving a first-round offer from the Buffalo Bills prior to the trade deadline. Miami declined and ended up getting more in return from their trade with the Broncos.
The Broncos, who haven’t signed a single free agent this offseason, have added a new weapon for quarterback Bo Nix and their offense.
Jaylen Waddle Injury History
Throughout his five-year NFL career, Jaylen Waddle has suffered five injuries, with four of them causing him to miss some time. However, he’s never missed more than three games in a single season.
During the 2023 pre-season, Waddle suffered a chest sternum bruise in a joint practice with the Atlanta Falcons. A concussion in Week 2 against the New England Patriots in the same season forced him to miss a game.
Waddle suffered another injury during the 2023 season, sustaining a high-ankle sprain in Week 16 vs. the Dallas Cowboys. This injury caused him to miss two games.
About a year later, in a Week 15 game against the Houston Texans on Dec. 15, Waddle suffered a right knee strain, knocking him out for two games. He suffered a rib injury towards the end of the 2025 season, which forced him to miss a game.
Overall, Waddle has stayed healthy for most of his career, which will be a boost for the Broncos. He has 373 receptions for 5,039 yards and 26 receiving touchdowns.
