Jaxson Dart is making headlines not just for what he does on the pitch, but off the field too, as he was spotted doing the introduction for American President Donald Trump at a recent event.
For Dart it might have been a path breaking moment, but others don’t seem too pleased about his very political gesture with a new NFL season coming up later this year.
One such individual is Craig Carton, who didn’t seem to have much of an issue with Dart’s political leanings, but instead chose to focus on telling Dart that he needs to focus on his game rather than get caught up off the field.
“Jaxson Dart is going to have to learn how to say no at some point because he is living the life of a guy that has already accomplished a lot in the NFL…that is great while it’s great but if you come out of the gate and you have 7 picks and two touchdowns it’s gonna backfire on you.”
“I think you say yes because it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to introduce the President at an event like that so I’m not gonna knock the kid for doing it, but he’s acting like he’s actually accomplished something in the NFL. The NFL will humble you in a New York City second if you’re not ready for it and I’m just a little concerned that Jaxson Dart is living the life of a superstar and he hasn’t quite earned it just yet.”
Donald Trump Was All Praise for Jaxson Dart
While others seemed hesitant, Donald Trump praised Jaxson Dart on stage, complimenting his physique and at one point even asking women in the crowd if they could tackle the NFL star.
It’s clear he made a great impression on the President, but he needs to focus on the field and get ready for a strong campaign with the New York Jets.
