This weekend, the Big Apple hosted what was probably the wedding of the decade as Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift officially tied the knot at Madison Square Garden. The event had over 1000 A-list celebrities from across the music, film, and sports industries.
Despite the huge guest list, obviously not everyone in those industries was invited to what was, after all, a highly exclusive event. One of those not invited was former NFL linebacker Will Compton, who, speaking with Barstool Sports, admitted to Dave Portnoy that he was surprised he didn’t get an invite:
“As I’ve been seeing these photos of everybody else… I’m kind of flabbergasted why we didn’t get the invite,” Compton said.
The omission was surprising, as Travis Kelce and Compton are known to be close friends off the field, and the Kansas City player has appeared several times on the linebacker’s Bussin’ With The Boys podcast. There are even pictures online of him hanging out with both Kelce and Taylor Swift.
Who played At Travis Kelce And Taylor Swift’s wedding?
While there aren’t official sources, many reports point to Stevie Nicks, Sir Paul McCartney, and Tim McGraw being the headline musical acts at Kelce’s and Swift’s wedding. Of special meaning was Paul McCartney’s performance of The Beatles’ No. 1 hit from 1963, I Want to Hold Your Hand. It’s the first time since 1964 that any member of the band has played the song live.
Stevie Nicks’ performance was somewhat teased by Taylor Swift herself during the NBA Finals, as she wore a “Stevie Knicks” T-shirt during Game 4 between the New York Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs, also at Madison Square Garden.
While there are no details about what the other two performers played at the event, it’s also reported that Adam Sandler officiated the event and played an original and humorous song for the couple.
The NFL was also pretty well represented, with a list of attendees that included Jason Kelce (the Best Man), Patrick Mahomes, Cooper Kupp, Tom Brady, George Kittle, and JuJu Smith-Schuster.
