“Watch How They Don’t Treat Him Like Shedeur Sanders”: Fans React As Fernando Mendoza Declines To Throw at NFL Combine

Shedeur Sanders faced one of the most dramatic draft slides in recent history during the 2025 NFL Draft. While the ex-Colorado star was predicted to go in the top 10 picks of the first round, Shedeur had to wait for his name to be called for 5 rounds and was eventually picked as the 144th overall pick by the Cleveland Browns.

Different analysts had different theories on why this happened to Shedeur Sanders; some said it was because of his “arrogant” attitude, others cited his decision not to throw in the NFL combine as the reason behind the dramatic slide.

Now that the projected No.1 overall pick, Fernando Mendoza, has announced his decision not to throw at the NFL Combine, many fans are beginning to highlight how the two quarterbacks are being treated differently by the league:

“Watch how they don’t treat him like shedeur sanders”. One fan reacted.

“Hey they pushed Shedeur Sanders down to the 144th pick because I didn’t play in the senior bowl or throw at the combine and wanted to showcase my WRs to nfl scouts….i hope Mendoza is ready for his draft slide right….RIGHT.” Another fan questioned.

”Shedeur got black balled by the nfl because of his dad. They used not throwing at the combine as an excuse to make people think that was the reason for falling.” Another fan shared their opinion.

“Hell no. They gon say he won Heisman, he’s guaranteed #1. Shedeur was 5th round. They gon say allat foolishness. As if Shedeur wasn’t projected to go picks 1-3 overall AT THE TIME of the combine last year when he decided to not throw. Idc tho, I just wanted to stir the pot.” Another fan added.

”So when Mendoza doesn’t throw at combine he gets praised but when Shedeur did this exact same thing for this exact same reason he got shamed for it 🤔🤔 im seeing the pattern.” Another fan wrote.

”He’s gonna be a bust on the field just like Sheduer Sanders was last season.” another fan predicted.
