Mike Vrabel and Diana Russini have been the talk of the town for the last couple of weeks because of a few viral pictures.
The two were seen hugging and holding hands at a luxurious hotel in Arizona and caught flak from fans as they are both married to other people and have kids.
While Russini announced her decision to resign from her job at The Athletic after the organisation began an internal investigation on her conduct, the NFL revealed that it would not be reviewing Vrabel’s conduct.
Fans weren’t impressed with the decision at all.
“You can take Brady & Belichick out of New England, but you can’t take the cheating out of New England. And per usual, little to no punishment,” one fan reacted.
“Well there you go folks right from the horses mouth in the eyes of the NFL Mike Vrabel did nothing wrong and will not be held accountable for his actions! ! If I were a woman I would be SCREAMING BLOODY BLUE MURDER about the NFL’s decision about how innocent Mike Vrabel is! Talk about a two tier system and no respect for women!” another fan wrote.
“Wait, the head coach of the New England Patriots (the dirtiest most dishonest team in the history of professional sports) will not be investigated by the league run by a man who is great friends with the owner (also a pervert and scum bag) of said team? No WAAYYYY!!!!!!.” another fan said.
“His mistress voting for him for AP Coach of the Year doesn’t affect the integrity of the NFL?” another fan questioned.
“Say what you want about the NFL, but it absolutely does not give a shit about integrity. Only money matters. When you find yourself more ethically forgiving than the press, you may have an issue,” another fan pointed out.
”Expecting the NFL to self police themselves is incredibly naive. It’s a business and everything they do is to protect the owners wealth,” another fan highlighted.
Skip Bayless Reacts to the Diana Russini and Mike Vrabel Controversy
Skip Bayless shared his reaction on the Diana Russini and Mike Vrabel situation and said that while he doesn’t know what’s going on between them, it’s not a good look.
Bayless further shared his experiences from the industry and said he has seen many male and female reporters cross the line for some inside scoop from a star player or a head coach.
”I used to be outraged,” Bayless said.
The analyst further praised Russini and said while she is very good at her job, she has ironically and “maybe fittingly” been very vocal about the A.J. Browns, Eagles situation, while also connecting him to the Patriots heavily, insinuating that it might be because of her relationship with Vrabel.
