“Fire Brandon Beane And Sell The Team”: Fans Don’t Hold Back As Bills Name Sean McDermott Replacement

The Buffalo Bills are reportedly set to announce Joe Brady as the team’s new coach to succeed Sean McDermott, who was fired earlier this month. Brady had served as the offensive coordinator for the Bills under McDermott since 2022, but will take over the coaching duties for Buffalo next season.

After it was reported that Brady will become the next Bills coach, fans on social media had some wild reactions.

“FIRE BEANE AND SELL THE TEAM YOU F*CKING MORONS @BuffaloBills,” one tweeted.

“Yea f*ck you Pegula and Beane,” another added.

“Allen never seeing a super bowl in his lifetime son,” a third commented.

Here are a few more reactions.

“Boring, safe hire. Another mistake from Brandon Beane & Terry Pegula. Not surprised one bit Should’ve waited 2 weeks and given Klint Kubiak a blank check,” one wrote.

“Firing McDermott was literally pointless,” another added.

“I hope he makes me eat my words, but I’m not happy about this hire. I think Bills will take a step back,” a user tweeted.

Brady will face high expectations with the Bills. McDermott, who coached Buffalo for nine seasons, got the team into the playoffs in eight of those seasons. However, McDermott was fired for not delivering a Super Bowl appearance during his sojourn with the franchise.

Although McDermott was fired, the Bills continued with Brandon Beane as their general manager.

According to reports, Brady will sign a five-year contract as the new Bills coach.

Sean McDermott Won Five Straight AFC East Titles With the Bills

Sean McDermott won five AFC East titles with the Bills from 2020 to 2024. He compiled a 98–50 regular-season record and an 8-8 playoff record in nine years with Buffalo.

Many expected McDermott to lead the Bills to the Super Bowl this season, given that there were some relatively inexperienced teams in this year’s playoffs. However, Buffalo lost 33-30 in overtime to the Denver Broncos in the divisional round.
