“Someone Is Delusional!!”: Fans Push Back After ESPN Compares A’ja Wilson to Tom Brady

ESPN faced heavy backlash on social media after a segment on “Chiney Today” posed the question: “Is A’ja Wilson’s greatness more impressive than Tom Brady?”

The discussion spread across X, where OutKick shared a screenshot of the segment with the caption, “‘Is A’ja Wilson’s greatness more impressive than Tom Brady’… What happened to ESPN man.”

The comparison immediately sparked debate, with many sports fans arguing that Brady’s resume is much more impressive than Wilson’s.

One fan simply dismissed the discussion altogether, writing, “Someone is delusional!!”.

One fan wrote, “There is no way people still watch the shows on ESPN.”

Another questioned the comparison: “Considering I had to look up who she was would lead me to believe her greatness is not more impressive than the GOAT of the NFL.”

“I think you could ask 100 people that know something about sports, and 98 of them don’t even know who she is – when 100 of them know him,” another user commented.

“Rage baiting for views I guess it has come to that,” one user posted.

“Simple, ESPN has a deal with the WNBA. Tom Brady works for Fox Sports,” another user posted.

Although many fans disagreed with the comparison, Wilson’s accomplishments are not to be ignored. The Las Vegas Aces superstar is one of the greatest players in WNBA history, she won four MVP awards and helped lead the franchise to 3 WNBA and 1 NCAA championships.

    Analyst Questions Tom Brady’s Commitment

Recently, NFL insider Mike Florio questioned whether Brady can fully commit as FOX Sports’ lead NFL analyst as well as being the owner of the Raiders.

Speaking on Pro Football Talk Live, Florio criticized Brady’s recent comments about taking responsibility for the Raiders’ disappointing 3-14 campaign.

“The comment, ‘It starts with me,’ I didn’t know he was now the majority owner,” Florio said.

He also questioned Brady’s ability to juggle both positions.

“If it does start with Tom… what are you doing working for Fox?… It’s hard for him to say it starts with me when he’s viewing this as a hobby.”

Brady signed a reported 10-year, $375 million broadcasting deal with FOX before purchasing a minority ownership stake in the Raiders. Since becoming part of the franchise’s ownership group, his dual roles have remained under scrutiny.

Despite Florio’s criticism and ongoing speculation, Brady has publicly shown no indication that he plans to step away from FOX.
