New York City is going to experience a historic heat wave over the next few days. The Mayor’s office is committed to doing what’s necessary to help the people during the challenging time ahead.
Mamdani posted a video on social media, warning people about the upcoming heat wave and how they can use resources to combat it. In his video, Mamdani gave a subtle warning to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce as well.
“It’s been a great month to be a fan in New York City, but this week, it’s about to get a lot tougher,” he said. “We are entering what could be the most extreme heat wave this city has seen in over a decade.”
“We’re ready, but we wanna make sure you are too,” Mamdani added. “Especially if you’re celebrating the World Cup or the 4th of July, or renting out MSG to get married, hypothetically.”
Mamdani went on to detail how his office is going to help people deal with the upcoming heat wave, but the subtle hint about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding caught fans’ attention.
Although Swift and Kelce haven’t confirmed their wedding plans, media reports suggest that a big wedding is set to take place in NYC this weekend. There are rumored guest lists and event plans, among other things, all hinting at Swift and Kelce ready to tie the knot.
Zohran Mamdani Seemingly Confirmed Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Wedding
The recent video wasn’t the first instance of Mayor Zohran Mamdani speaking about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding. He jokingly talked about the rumored wedding earlier this month while discussing his plans to ensure a safe environment on July 5 for the World Cup game.
Mamdani stated that the NYPD and state partners are fully equipped to ensure a safe environment during big moments of celebration.
“We are used to big events, and we are incredibly excited for this one,” he told the reporters. “We know it coincides with July 4th, America 250, Taylor Swift’s wedding, all happening at the same time.”
When asked if he had received an invite for the wedding and if he was planning on attending, Mamdani said, “No and no.” The NYC Mayor said that he’s excited to welcome the world to the city for all the celebrations.
