Despite leading Miami to the College Football National Championship Game earlier this year, Miami quarterback Carson Beck is still projected to be picked around the second day. The 2026 draft class is not really known for its quality in quarterbacks, with only Fernando Mendoza and Ty Simpson being drafted in the first round, but Beck is seen to be one of the quarterbacks to possibly be picked next after them.
That being said, there are still teams that might be able to pick him as they need a solid backup quarterback or just be able to pick the best draft option at that time and possibly use him as draft bait. This just raises the question of where could Carson Beck go?
5 Potential Teams That Could Pick Miami QB Carson Beck
Miami Dolphins
It is very much possible that Carson Beck could stay in Miami. While they still have Quinn Ewers at QB1, the Dolphins could be looking for a QB2 or QB3 to bolster their depth chart. Given the current situation at Miami right now, he might even get the chance to move up in the depth chart if he performs well enough.
Atlanta Falcons
The Atlanta Falcons already have a very tight quarterback room, with Michael Penix Jr. and Tua Tagovailoa already battling it out for the QB1 spot, along with veteran backup Kirk Cousins. However, the team might bolster that QB room even more with Carson Beck in a twist that could lead him back to the state of Georgia.
Cleveland Browns
Speaking of teams with a ton of quarterbacks, the Cleveland Browns might also predictably pick another quarterback, and they could be taking the best one available, Carson Beck. Several players are currently battling for that QB1 spot right now, just like last year, and adding Carson Beck to the mix can recreate that volatile and complicated situation last year, but this is what Cleveland has been known to do.
Pittsburgh Steelers
With the Aaron Rodgers situation hanging over their heads, the Steelers might be thinking of looking into the future already and looking for a QB they could set up as his successor, and Carson Beck could be that man.
Indianapolis Colts
The Indianapolis Colts had one of the most unfortunate quarterback situations last year, with each of their QBs succumbing to injury late in the season. Them getting Carson Beck if he is still available to prevent that situation from happening again would be very understandable.
