Broncos vs. Patriots Weather Report Today: Empower Field at Mile High Stadium Forecast Ahead of NFL Conference Championship Game

The Denver Broncos are set to host the New England Patriots for the NFL Conference Championship matchup. The game will be played at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver and kickoff is slated for 3 pm ET.

The winner will represent the AFC at the Super Bowl 60 next month. The weather often plays a huge role during the NFL playoffs every year. It impacts the game’s outcome by sometimes providing an edge to the home team.

So, what are the weather conditions for the Conference Championship game between the Broncos and the Patriots today? Fortunately, while most of the country will experience snow, Denver will be one of the few exceptions.

That doesn’t mean that winter will have no effect in Denver. Sunday morning starts with low temperatures, dipping in single digits. As the day progresses, conditions will get better.

By the time of kickoff, Accuweather predicts that the temperature will be around 23 degrees. However, there’s a big difference between that temperature and what it’s going to feel like with the addition of wind.

Wind speed is expected to go up to 15 miles per hour, which will make the 23 degrees feel like 12. In addition to that, there’s a 47% chance of precipitation, which in this case will be snow, at around kickoff time.

All things considered, it is not the worst weather to play football. In sharp contrast, if this game had been held at the Patriots’ home, heavy snow would’ve dominated the day. So, we will have cold but good weather conditions for the NFL Conference Championship game.

Bo Nix Will Miss the NFL Conference Championship Game

Bo Nix took his team to victory in the Broncos’ Divisional Round game against the Buffalo Bills. The game went into overtime, but the home team managed to get a three-point advantage over the Bills to win the game 33-30.

Immediately after the win, the Broncos fans received heartbreaking news. In the final minutes of the game, Bo Nix sustained an ankle injury. Soon, it was announced that he would be out for the rest of the season.

“The recovery, not the surgery, is thought to be the most challenging part of this injury. Nix is not supposed to put any weight on his ankle for at least four weeks, and he will miss 12 weeks altogether before he can return to activity,” ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported.

Jarrett Stidham will take over the starting quarterback role in Nix’s absence and will have Sam Ehlinger as his backup QB.
