    Which Team Has the Most AFC Championship Appearances in NFL History?

    This season’s AFC Championship game will see the Denver Broncos host the New England Patriots on Sunday. The game, which will decide who advances to the Super Bowl, is scheduled to kick off at 3 p.m. ET from Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado.

    Teams With the Most AFC Championship Appearances of All Time

    As things stand, the Pittsburgh Steelers hold the record for the most AFC championship appearances, making it to the conference title game 16 times. However, the New England Patriots will join them when they face the Broncos on Sunday.

    The Patriots have made 15 AFC title game appearances at the time of writing and have won 11 of them, the most of any team in the AFC. They have also won six Super Bowls, tied with the Steelers for the most among all NFL teams.

    All of New England’s six Super Bowl wins came with Tom Brady as its quarterback.

    The Broncos, on the other hand, will be playing in their 11th AFC championship game on Sunday. They are tied with the Steelers for second-most wins in AFC title games.

    Denver has been to the Super Bowl eight times and won three of them. The last time the Broncos won the big game was in 2016 when they beat the Carolina Panthers.

    Who Are the Announcers For the Denver Broncos vs. New England Patriots AFC Championship Game?

    The Broncos vs. Patriots AFC title game will be broadcast live on CBS. Fans can also live stream the playoff contest on Paramount+.

    On CBS, Jim Nantz (play-by-play) and Tony Romo (analysis) will be in the announcers’ booth to call the game. Tracy Wolfson will report on the contest from the sidelines.

    This will be the 56th AFC Championship game, and the home team has won 38 of them.

    MVP candidate Drake Maye will start as the Patriots quarterback, while Jarrett Stidham will lead the offense for the Broncos in the absence of the injured Bo Nix.
