The Buffalo Bills went to Jacksonville last week for the Wild Round Matchup against the Jaguars. They defeated the home team 27-24 and qualified for the Divisional Round. The Bills will now play the Denver Broncos.
When the Bills returned home after the Jaguars matchup, they were surprised to see the amount of snow everywhere. Their cars were buried in the snow, and some players even had to carry a shovel to make way.
A video posted by MLFootball shows Bills players looking shocked after seeing a car go away with a huge block of snow attached to its roof. There was so much snow around their cars that some players even struggled to open the doors.
But with the whole group together, they were just having fun and laughing while some of their teammates struggled to get inside their cars. Fortunately, the Bills wouldn’t have to deal with this weather today.
The Divisional Round matchup against the Broncos will be played at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver. The weather is expected to be clear, breezy, and ideal for the game.
“I’m not sure that a 10-15 mph wind is really going to stop Bo Nix or Josh Allen from doing their thing,” Fox Weather meteorologist Ian Oliver said.
Not every team is going to enjoy good weather conditions for their respective Divisional Round matchup. Take the Chicago Bears vs the Los Angeles Rams game on Sunday, for example.
“Could be one of the coldest NFL and Chicago Bears games on record this Sunday when the Rams come to the Windy City. AI Euro model spitting out wind chills 0 to -10°F mid-afternoon Sunday with air temps for a high maybe in the 10-15°F range,” meteorologist Noah Bergren reported.
In addition to the 10-15 degree temperature, 20-30 MPH wind will also affect the game and players who aren’t used to playing in such conditions.
Sean Payton on the Challenges Bills and Josh Allen Present
Taking on the reigning MVP with an in-form team isn’t going to be a cakewalk, and Broncos coach Sean Payton understands it. So, he’s not going to make the mistake of underestimating his opposition.
While speaking to the reporters earlier this week, Payton heaped praise on Allen.
“He’s a fantastic competitor. He was the difference when that game that was close last weekend, and here it is the final drive. It’s been a while since I saw someone gain seven yards on a sneak,” he said.
Still, Payton is hopeful and confident about his preparation and believes the Broncos will be able to hold Allen from taking the game away from them.
