What Did Bad Bunny’s Football Say During the Super Bowl LX Halftime Show?

In a historic performance, Bad Bunny brought the house down over at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, as he performed with several surprise guests for the Super Bowl Halftime Show. Like all Puerto Ricans, he is also a US citizen and has been very vocal about what is happening in the US, particularly the ICE raids happening all over the country. During his Super Bowl performance, he echoed what he said during his Grammy speech.

As his performance wrapped up, good old Benito held up a football with a stirring message about diversity and equality in the country, and here is the message on that football:

    “Together we are America.”

Bad Bunny was wearing a white jersey and some shoulder pads underneath, as he carried the football like a running back. During his performance, the Levi’s Stadium scoreboard showed the same message that he delivered during the Grammy Awards.

“The only thing more powerful than hate is love.”

This is what he said during the Grammys:

“Before I say thanks to God, I’m going to say ICE out,” he said. “We’re not savages, we’re not animals, we’re not aliens, we are humans, and we are Americans … The hate gets more powerful with more hate. The only thing that’s more powerful than hate is love. So please, we need to be different. If we fight, we have to do it with love.”

Bad Bunny’s Performance Celebrated Not Just In The US As NFL Expands To Global Audience

During his Super Bowl LX performance, Bad Bunny also named every single country in the Americas, from the North American Big 3 (Canada, the US, and Mexico) to Central and South America to the Caribbean.

He also brought out Cardi B., who comes from the Caribbean, as her parents were immigrants from Trinidad and Tobago and the Dominican Republic. Also, there is a Colombian rapper, Karol G.

This is happening as the league expands to other countries in its reach, particularly in Latin America, which makes Bad Bunny a very compelling choice as the Super Bowl performer.
