With Dianna Russini now announcing that she is a “former journalist,” the Dianna Russini-Mike Vrabel scandal is apparently not yet over. The controversy was laden with conflicts of interest, as Russini was apparently receiving inside scoops from the New England Patriots coach and allegedly using them to further her career.
A compilation of the many conflicts of interest between Russini and Vrabel was posted on social media by an NFL analyst. However, one surprising person has seemingly liked the post: the current girlfriend of Mike Vrabel’s predecessor, Bill Belichick. Jordon Hudson, a controversial figure herself, apparently liked 49ers Talk’s Tony Farmer’s post regarding the conflicts of interest Russini had due to her alleged relationship with Vrabel.

Her boyfriend, Bill Belichick, has reportedly been at odds with his former team, the New England Patriots, though it is more of him conflicting with Patriots owner Robert Kraft rather than the team itself. However, Belichick did infamously ban Patriots scouts from North Carolina facilities.
It should be noted that Belichick and the Patriots organization mutually parted ways, but the relationship between the two sides was reportedly rocky at best. One of his successors was Mike Vrabel, who won a Super Bowl while playing for the Patriots under Belichick.
Dianna Russini Broke Silence in New Report
Dianna Russini previously worked for The New York Times-owned The Athletic, and this was where she finally broke her silence regarding the scandal. The newspaper requested an interview with her, and she replied via text, asking the NYT reporter not to quote her, though the reporter pushed back and quoted some of her texts anyway.
She noted that the scandal made a “significant impact” on her life and that she has endured “intense scrutiny and personal attacks” since the photos of herself and Mike Vrabel surfaced. She has not commented on the matter since April, which was when the scandal first broke out.
The former Athletic writer also described herself as a “former journalist” after she left the publication.
Since the scandal started, Dianna Russini was seemingly the one who bore the brunt of the impact, as this left her largely discredited and out of her job, while Mike Vrabel is still the head coach of the Patriots.
