Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s forthcoming wedding has been one of the biggest topics of discussion in recent weeks. Fans of Kelce and Swift want to know every detail related to what might be the wedding of the year.
Us Weekly recently reported that Rhode Island was the first choice for their wedding. However, due to security concerns, the couple had to change the plan and look for other suitable venues.
“Taylor and Travis really wanted their wedding in Rhode Island, and June 13 was the date, but security wouldn’t have worked because it could get out of hand with that kind of scale of an event,” an insider told Us Weekly.
The initial plan was to have a big coastal wedding. Swift owns a lavish property in Rhode Island. However, the security team had concerns because the location was accessible in many ways, and closing it off would’ve been a huge task.
“Rhode Island wasn’t great because the nature of the access and the perimeters were too difficult to secure…So the main issue with Rhode Island ended up being security,” the insider added.
As per the report, Swift and Kelce were planning their wedding in full swing with Rhode Island as their preferred destination. Another thing that became a hurdle for them was the number of people who wanted to attend.
Considering the risk factor and the popularity of the couple, Madison Square Garden in New York City was reportedly finalized as the wedding destination. The couple is rumored to be tying the knot on July 4.
San Francisco 49ers’ tight end George Kittle, Ed Sheeran, Suki Waterhouse, Graham Norton, Zoe Kravitz, Jack Antonoff, and others have been mentioned on the rumored guest list.

Mamdani also mentioned Swift and Kelce’s wedding, adding to the excitement of their fans.

We know it coincides with July 4, America 250, Taylor Swift’s wedding — all happening at the same time — and we are so excited to welcome the world here,” he said.
As of now, Kelce or Swift have not officially confirmed their wedding date or destination.
