Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce had a few rules set for the guests attending their wedding at Madison Square Garden. According to an exclusive article by People published on Wednesday, a source claimed that cellphones were not allowed inside the venue.
“Guests have been told there will be a phone check upon arrival,” the source said.
This led fans to theorize that the couple wanted to avoid having photos of the wedding procession leaked online beforehand. However, on Friday, a clip of Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford’s wife, Kelly Stafford, went viral on social media.
She and her husband were invited to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding. However, what caught fans’ attention was that Kelly held a video camera, suggesting she intended to use it to capture moments from the wedding at MSG.
Fans on social media shared their reactions to this while questioning the alleged no-camera rule after phones were banned during the wedding procession.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce went the extra mile to keep details of their wedding confidential. According to earlier reports, the couple required guests to sign NDAs when extending invitations. Streets near MSG were also shut down temporarily on Friday.
Taylor Swift’s publicist shares a statement on the star’s marriage to Travis Kelce
Taylor Swift’s long-time publicist, Tree Paine, confirmed she had exchanged wedding vows with Travis Kelce on Friday at Madison Square Garden.
Paine also shared a few other details in a statement, including what the couple wore and who the bridesmaids and the groomsmen were.
“The bride and groom’s wedding ceremony looks have been created by Christian Dior Haute Couture,” the statement read. “They are designed by Jonathan Anderson, Creative Director of Dior Women’s, Men’s and Haute Couture Collections, in close collaboration with the Bride and Groom. This is the designer’s first couture wedding dress for a world-renowned celebrity.
“Taylor & Travis did not have bridesmaids or groomsmen. Instead, her Austin Swift served as Taylor’s Man of Honor and Jason Kelce was Travis’ Best Man. The ceremony joined both families together and was officiated by friend Adam Sandler.”
Swift and Kelce got engaged last year in August after dating for two years.
