What Disorder Does Alex Singleton’s Sister Has? A Look at Broncos LB’s Sibling’s Health Issues

The Denver Broncos linebacker, Alex Singleton’s sister, Ashley Singleton, has Down syndrome. Ashley is his elder sister, and the two siblings share a great bond. They’ve been very supportive of each other over the years.

Alex isn’t the only athlete in the family. Ashley is a Special Olympics athlete and competes in sports like swimming, bowling, soccer, and gymnastics. The Broncos star has become a volunteer and advocate for the Special Olympics to support his sister’s career.

Ashley is arguably the biggest supporter of Alex’s career. As an elder sister, she always roots for her brother, and in Alex’s words, “Ashley cares more about my performance sometimes than the team winning.”

Ashley has stated that she understands the responsibility of an elder sister, which is why she always wants him to do well. Alex, on the other hand, does the same for Ashley every time she competes at an event.

“My whole life has been supporting Special Olympics with Ashley, and that’s been so fun seeing her transition through sports,” Alex said, as per the Special Olympics’ website. “You know, my support for Special Olympics changed so much in my life. Obviously, it started out just being my sister’s fan, and then it went to becoming a volunteer and coach.”

Alex uses his star power to show support for Ashley’s journey and the Special Olympics. The Broncos star wore custom-made cleats for My Cause My Cleats to raise awareness toward the charities that the Singletons support.

Ashley appreciates his support and dedication toward the cause, but what she always hopes for is for her little brother to have a great game every time, not just because he’s her brother, but because she believes he’s really good at it.

Alex proudly said that growing up, he got to spend a lot of time around Ashley. In fact, she was always great in her role as the big sister.

“She’s the oldest, she showed me the ropes early on, especially how to pick on our younger siblings,” he said.

Over the years, as they matured, the sibling bond turned into mutual love and admiration for each other and the work that they do.
