Shaquille O’Neal and his ex-wife, Shaunie Henderson, were seen together after a long time to support their son, Shaqir O’Neal, on his senior night with the Sacramento State Hornets forward. The former NBA superstar came out for the Hornets game against Idaho State, 83-65, where Shaqir scored seven points, grabbed four rebounds, and had three assists in 23 minutes.
In videos uploaded on X, Shaq was seen greeting the Sac State team after the win, as he hugged his son after his senior night victory.
Shaq’s former wife and the mother of Shaqir, Shaunie Henderson, was also seen in the video beside the former NBA center, supporting her son.

Shaq and Shaunie, a film marketer, met each other in 1996 after he joined the Lakers. The couple had two kids after dating for more than five years and then decided to get married in 2002. In 2003, Shaqir was born when the then-Lakers center was playing the Minnesota Timberwolves in the playoffs.
After the Hornets’ win over Idaho, Shaq’s son and the team’s coach, Mike Bibby, had some words to see the Hall of Famer courtside.
“I still don’t know how big he is,” Shaqir opens up on Shaquille O’Neal’s star status
After the game, former NBA point guard and Sac State’s HC Mike Bibby talked to the media about the 4-time NBA champion’s presence courtside and what it means to coach his son. He said:
“His (Shaq’s) son was my first recruit that I had, that we run on and we brought him on the team as well.”
The Hornets forward was also delighted to see his dad alongside him and expressed his honest feelings on his presence. Shaqir said:
“It’s my senior night, so I told him we need a blowout win, I wanted to have fun, put on a show.
“Honestly, I didn’t realize how famous he was until I was a little older, I still don’t know how big he is, I am learning more and more about how famous he is every day.”
Shaquille O’Neal is part of the Inside the NBA crew but often makes time to be with his family. He is known for his social activities to help others and is one of the favorite former players who have joined the broadcasting field.
