Why Did Jalen Suggs Go Bald? Real Reason Behind NBA Star’s New Look Explored

The NBA star Jalen Suggs was seen with a different look recently, as he chose to go bald. The Orlando Magic forward guard, who has averaged 13.6 points and 5.3 assists this season, caught fans’ attention with his unique way to pay homage to his teammate.

After the last game, Suggs was questioned by the media about the reason behind his decision to go bald and Carter’s influence on his new look. He replied:

“The way that he (Jevon Carter) works is top-notch. I got the haircut in light of Jevon Carter, I’m trying to follow his footsteps with the baldy. He is great, conversations in-game are amazing, and my favorite part about (him) is that he’s held me accountable on multiple occasions.”

Suggs appreciated Carter’s tendency to convey things unabashedly without sugarcoating and stated how that has helped him grow in the game. His veteran presence has helped the entire roster in building a winning mentality and receiving some words of wisdom from his vast NBA experience.

Jalen Suggs’ teammates have a blast after seeing his new look

After Jalen Suggs revealed his new look before the game, his Magic teammates were surprised and had a hilarious reaction to it. In a video shared by Bleacher Report on Instagram, a Magic teammate was seen enjoying Suggs’ bald look while others laughed hard in the background.

The new look of the Magic guard did not seem to have much impact on the team’s performance if that was what Jalen Suggs hoped for. The Magic has lost two back-to-back games and is placed seventh in the Eastern Conference.

Paolo Banchero leads the franchise in points and rebounds, while Suggs is the leader in assists per game. In the next bout, the team will face the Washington Wizards, who have lost five in a row.
