Has Kevin Durant Fired His Editorial Team at Boardroom? NBA Superstar’s Latest Move Explored Amid Burner Account Controversy

Kevin Durant’s burner account controversy has taken the NBA world by surprise after several current and former teammates were found on the leaked chats. The Houston Rockets star refused to speak on it when asked about his views on the controversy. But now, he has reportedly fired the editorial team at his sports entertainment venture, Boardroom.

FullCourtpass reported on X that the co-founders, Kevin Durant and Rich Kleiman, unexpectedly decided to layoff the staff. The caption read:

“Kevin Durant and Rich Kleiman have eliminated their full-time editorial team at Boardroom.”

While there is no official confirmation of the reason behind the decision, several fans in the comment section believed it was because of the burner account leaks. One of the most shocking names in the screenshots, leaked online, was Jabari Smith Jr., his current teammate on the Rockets.

Kevin Durant says he has “one more season” in him

Kevin Durant was recently seen outside the court with some fans and media. He and others around him shouted that he had one more season to play in his career. The 16-time NBA All-Star has had a storied career but is still searching for his third NBA championship.

Durant has been crucial in keeping the Rockets in fourth place in the Western Conference. He scored 35 points, eight rebounds, and four assists in their 105-101 win over the Charlotte Hornets. He is averaging 26 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.4 assists this season, and his chemistry with Alperen Sengun has worked well.

However, Durant’s tenure in the league has been riddled with controversies, but his on-court performance has been consistent. It’s still unclear how the Durant-Sengun duo will play in the postseason after several distractions and issues in the locker room.
