Ashley Nicole Moss Takes OnlyFans Insults in Her Stride After Ragebaiting Lakers Fans with Championship “Pretenders” Jab

NBA analyst Ashley Nicole Moss has given a hot take on the LA Lakers at a time when most analysts and fans have already written off the team’s chances for a title. However, Lakers fans did not take her statement lightly and allegedly directed OnlyFans insults at her on social media. She addressed fans’ criticism on X and reiterated her stance.

The CBS Sports analyst shared her views on the Lakers after the team won its last game against the Indiana Pacers, 137-130. She said:

“I just think when you talk about the playoffs, you start seeing the teams that are true contenders and you start seeing the pretenders, and for me, the Lakers are the pretenders, this is not a championship team.”

In a video shared on X, Moss added that the Lakers can only proceed to the second phase of the postseason if they get a favorable matchup in the first round. After her statement, she received a string of criticism from Lakers fans on social media, which she highlighted in her further posts. Moss responded to the OnlyFans insult and wrote:

“i just have to say — telling me to do OnlyFans is not the insult y’all think it is. for starters, it’s highlyyy unoriginal. secondly and most importantly, you dweebs would be the first to subscribe. sooooo in my current scenario and yours … i’m paid either way. likeeeee lol”

The analyst also stated in another post that she has been saying the same thing about the Lakers since December last year, but it has now become a “hot take.” Several other analysts have stated that the Lakers won’t be able to win the Western Conference, given the team’s dismal defense.

Can the Lakers make an impact in the postseason?

The LA Lakers are third in the conference, mainly due to Luka Doncic’s stellar season, leading the league in scoring, averaging 33.6 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 8.3 assists. He is also a top contender for the regular-season MVP, but has been continuously criticized for a lack of effort on the defensive end.

The Lakers will probably face the Houston Rockets in the first round. The Lakeshow won the season series against them 2-1 and can contain Kevin Durant and Co. if they continue to play the defense they have occasionally shown lately. However, the second round will be difficult to overcome with teams like the San Antonio Spurs and the Denver Nuggets in the mix.

Only time will tell if the Lakers can overcome and come out of a stacked conference. Meanwhile, Ashley Nicole Moss’ criticism on social media also sparked discussion about women journalists in the NBA and the extent of criticism that they are subjected to on public platforms.
