Mario Cristobal’s Miami Hurricanes were dealt a brutal blow at the 11th hour of the college football season. However, with the College Football Playoff National Championship in the rear-view mirror, the roster construction part of the year is underway.
Players will come, and players will go. Unfortunately for Miami, many more players are set to leave than join as the team heads into the tail-end of January, per 247 Sports. Here’s a look at which players are expected to join Cristobal’s squad and which are on the way out, including a breakdown of how many are on offense and defense.
Players Transferring To Miami Hurricanes
The Miami Hurricanes are expected to receive not one but two kickers, potentially shaking up the special teams unit for 2026. With Carter Davis coming off a game in which he missed a field goal, special teams will be a unit to watch this offseason.
Additionally, two receivers are set to join the program for an offensive boost. Just one defensive player is currently expected to transfer to the program.

Cristobal will lose two offensive tackles, three receivers and a tight end. He will also lose four defensive linemen/linebackers and three secondary players. Put simply, to replace the losses, the coach will have some recruiting to do.
