With Kinney committing to Kansas back in September, it felt like a matter of time before we saw him on the college court competing against Stokes, but it now appears that we’ll be seeing them compete together once again, just like they did in middle school.
Both originally from Kentucky, Stokes and Kinney share a close bond, and their success is undeniable, with their time in middle school bringing out a partnership that should definitely have the rest of the college teams shaking in their boots.
Stokes will be pleased to reunite with the talented Taylen Kinney, who was the first-ranked point guard in his class, with Stokes himself being the highest-rated player in the 2026 recruiting class for the college game.
Stokes Happy to be on Kansas’ Campus Already
Tyran Stokes added to his excitement by telling local reporters about how good it feels to be on Kansas’ campus, explaining his decision to join because of head coach Bill Self, and giving a glimpse into what the future holds.
With the Kentucky stuff now out of the way, Stokes is free to show his best basketball for the Jayhawks, and with Kinney next to him, this could be a partnership for the ages, and the rest of the college basketball circuit may be forced to pay the price.
