John Calipari And Rick Pitino Celebrate Knicks’ Thrilling Win in Game 4 With Passionate Messages

The New York Knicks made history in NBA Finals game 4. They overcame a deficit of 29 points against resilient San Antonio Spurs. However, that resilience wore off when Jalen Brunson-led Knicks fought back. They were unstoppable as Victor Wenbanyama and co seemed helpless. The 29-point deficit was the biggest one a team has ever overcome in NBA history.

As the celebrities at the Madison Square Garden went berserk after the historic win, there were two college basketball legends also cheering them on. St. John’s HC Rick Pitino and Arkansas’ John Calipari cheered on the Knicks. While Calipari was in attendance, Pitino made sure to share his excitement on social media.

“What an unbelievable night at The Garden! It’s hard to even explain the feeling in that building. Two unbelievable teams, high-level competitors and a building pulsing with emotion and passion,” Calipari said.

He was excited to see his former Kentucky stars Karl-Anthony Towns, De’Aaron Fox and Keldon Johnson. He also met his former centers Marcus Camby and Dakari Johnson.

“I am so happy for my friends Leon Rose and William Wesley and the staff in New York for what they have built. I got to spend some time with all the Knicks Alums, Adam Sandler, Chris Rock but I was too nervous to introduce myself to Taylor Swift! LOL! Watching those two teams, with their guards showing incredible fight, focused on winning and MAKING OTHERS BETTER,” he continued.

He also mentioned how he was looking forward for his two stars Darius Acuff Jr and Meleek Thomas. He then expressed that he was super excited to coach Arkansas next season.

“That Grit & Fight is what Champions are made of. Let’s Go Knicks! Awesome job players and coaches!” Rick Pitino shared.
