Tyran Stokes’ talent is undeniable, but perhaps Kansas fans don’t quite understand the talent they have in their team. This isn’t just a generational player committing to their program, he’s something even more special.
Stokes was the highest rated player in the 2026 class, and for good reason. A video from the 2025 Chris Brickley Invitational appears to show just what Bill Self and the rest of the Kansas scouts saw in the teenager, with his unstoppable 1v1 qualities shining in this old clip.
Still in high school at the time, Stokes can be seen virtually bullying his opponents, using his strength and skills to push players out of the way and score from both range as well as from near the rim.
It’s just a small taste of what Kansas Jayhawks fans can expect when he starts off with them officially. While bullying opponents likely won’t be his game at the collegiate level, there’s enough to suggest he’ll be just as successful at a higher level.
Fans in Awe of Tyran Stokes’ Skill
Fans appreciated the moves of Stokes too, taking to the comment section to serenade the young man’s abilities.
Stokes might have added some size already, but the stronger players in the college category will pose a definite challenge to the teen, which is surely something head coach Bill Self and his coaching staff will be making clear to the young man as he gets ready to face the big time.
