WATCH: Underage Tyran Stokes Seen at Bar in Kansas With Taylen Kinney Allegedly Around

Tyran Stokes has landed in Lawrence, Kansas after committing to the Jayhawks after a sensational high school run that saw him rated as the top recruit of the 2026 class, with Kentucky suffering a major defeat in their attempts to secure the services of the teenager.

Life starts now for Stokes, who is expected to be the driving force for Kansas under Bill Self, who announced he will continue at the program amid concerns around his health and well being, with this being a major reason behind why Stokes committed to the program to begin with.

But off the court, Stokes is now starting to gain the kind of attention he can ill afford at this tender age. The 5-star recruit was seemingly filmed at a bar in the city of Kansas, presumably not far from the University campus, where he looks around as others drink on, which is particularly concerning considering the legal drinking age is 21 in the United States of America.

Luckily for Stokes, the clip doesn’t show him actually downing any alcohol, but does point to a growing lack of privacy for the young man as he begins his life as a college student while balancing it with his sports.

The same account that posted the video on X, appeared to also confirm the presence of another Kansas star in Taylen Kinney, who presumably took Stokes around to show him town as he gets acclimated in his new surroundings.

Kinney and Stokes Share a Close Relationship Dating Back a Few Years

Taylen Kinney’s presence around Tyran Stokes should not come as a surprise to college basketball fans. The duo has played together in middle school and come from Kentucky, spending a significant amount of time together and knowing their families well too.

Perhaps this too played a role as Stokes found familiarity at Kansas and made a tough decision a lot easier for the talented teen.
