Myles Colvin Transfer Portal: Top 3 Landing Spots for Wake Forest Guard

After spending one season with the Wake Forest Daemon Deacons, journeyman guard Myles Colvin is on the move again, as he has announced that he will enter the transfer portal again. He previously played for Purdue, where his father, former Indianapolis Colts linebacker Roosevelt Colvin, played. He had been a key piece in the Daemon Deacons lineup as he played all 35 games for them and started in 24.

This would be a big blow for Wake Forest as Myles Colvin averaged 11.6 points 4.4 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game this season. He showed a lot of improvement with the team and was even awarded the Oscar Robertson Player of the Week and ACC Player of the Week in mid-December. He had also been instrumental in Purdue’s Final Four run, playing all 31 of the Boilermakers’ Final Four run in 2024.

Colvin is a combo guard, as he could also slot in as a small forward aside from being a shooting guard. This ability to be able to play the 2 or the 3 can get many teams interested. So where could he go after three stellar seasons at Purdue and Wake Forest?

Top 3 Landing Spots for Wake Forest Starter Myles Colvin

    Purdue Boilermakers

After one year at another team, it is very much possible for Myles Colvin, a Purdue Boilermakers legacy, to return to where it all began and finish his college career there. This would be a very fitting move for him, especially as he has shown that he has grown a lot since leaving. While the program is known for developing top tier centers, it also has a lot of good guards to complement those centers, so this could be a good move.

    North Carolina Tar Heels

North Carolina is rebuilding after firing Hubert Davis and hiring former NBA coach Mike Malone. This new atmosphere over at Chapel Hill could signal that the program is starting fresh and could want some fresh faces from the transfer portal. With the school being known for producing great shooting guards like Michael Jordan and small forwards like Vince Carter, this could be a good place for a combo guard like him to shine.

    Ohio State Buckeyes

Once a powerhouse team, the Buckeyes are now a shadow of their former selves and could be looking at the transfer portal for an infusion of new blood. Among the spots they could be looking for would be a shooting guard, and this could be a good reason for Myles Colvin could come in.
