Michigan vs Saint Louis Game Summary
The No. 1 seed Michigan Wolverines took down the No. 9 seed Saint Louis Billikens, 95-72, in the second round of the NCAA Tournament at KeyBank Center on Saturday in Buffalo, New York.
The biggest takeaway for Michigan today was the return of Yaxel Lendeborg. The star forward only had nine points in the last game against the Howard Bison. The Wolverines took a big sigh of relief today, seeing him perform.
He dropped 25 points, shooting 9 of 13 from the field and 3 of 5 from the three-point line. In his 32 minutes on the floor, Lendeborg didn’t have any turnovers on the scoresheet, which shows how he controlled the game.
He was accompanied by the other four starters, all of whom scored in double digits and secured the win for the Wolverines. Now Michigan will head into the Sweet 16 matchup after missing the mark in back-to-back seasons.
