Caleb Wilson’s return from injury would be welcome news to any NBA team trying to grab him in the upcoming draft, but a mini heart attack is not something they would want if Wilson is the one they’re scouting.
Wilson underwent surgery for a hand injury, keeping him out of the NCAA Tournament and, perhaps, costing his head coach, Hubert Davis, his job at North Carolina, leaving many UNC fans wondering what might have been.
So with the draft looming, it came as a surprise that he was out and about showcasing his skills in an exhibition game against UNC athletes.
Fans online didn’t necessarily enjoy this game, as they took to X to question how injured Wilson really was ahead of the draft.
Caleb Wilson Set for High Pick at NBA Draft
If some mock drafts are to be believed, Caleb Wilson could be set for an incredibly high pick at the upcoming NBA Draft, with some suggesting it could even be as high as No. 2 overall.
With the likes of AJ Dybantsa and Darryn Peterson, the general picks in the top bracket, Wilson may be a surprising shout so high up, but it would make sense.
Peterson has had his critics recently, while Dybantsa had just a few moments during the NCAA Tournament, leaving Wilson in a decent position to take advantage. Wherever he goes, he’ll definitely be a handful for his team.
