David Punch Transfer Portal: Top 3 Potential Landing Spots for TCU Forward

After doing rather well in the NCAA Tournament, the TCU Honed Frogs suffered a massive blow in the transfer portal, as leading scorer David Punch announced that he will be leaving the school and looking for a new home.

This is a big loss for the program, as he led the team with 14.1 points and 6.8 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game.

He was one of the main reasons why TCU made it all the way to the second round of March Madness, which makes him a viable option for any team that needs a big scoring boost. Where could he land though?

Top 3 Potential Landing Spots for David Punch

    Ohio State Buckeyes

Ironically, the team they just defeated in the first round of the NCAA Tournament might be a good place for him to join.

The Buckeyes have not been the program that they used to be years ago and need a big spark to get going again. Could the man that brought the team low in March be the answer, or are there other problems that the program is currently facing that is much deeper than just the quality of its players?

    Arkansas Razorbacks

David Punch is still a sophomore, which means there is still plenty of time for him to develop. This means that he might need a coach who is known for player development, and that is what John Calipari is famous for, as he has been responsible for developing some of the biggest stars in the NBA.

Punch is a scorer who could also grab buckets, and Calipari could improve that as he did with the likes of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

    North Carolina Tar Heels

North Carolina is definitely rebuilding after firing Hubert Davis. With a new coach coming in, there are a lot of unknown factors with this blue-blooded program right now. But there is still a massive chance to shine here, especially with all the potential of former Denver Nuggets head coach Mike Malone taking over.

The program is set to lose some big players because of this rebuild, which is prime territory for David Punch to shine.
