Cameron Boozer’s Duke Blue Devils played the TCU Horned Frogs in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The Blue Devils have been one of the best teams this season, with Boozer putting up big numbers on the board consistently.
This time was no different. In an 81-58 win for his team, Boozer scored 19 points, shooting 7 of 10 from the field with 11 rebounds, four assists, three steals, and a block. He was the highest scorer in the game.
Overall, Boozer is averaging 22.4 points, 10.3 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.5 steals per game. He shoots over 56% from the field and nearly 40% from the three-point line. In his freshman season, Boozer ranks ninth in PPG among all players.
While he is dominating games for Duke, Boozer has a lot of people showing support for him. His girlfriend, Yva Lauren Cao, is one of his biggest supporters and often posts about the 18-year-old power forward.
Lauren posted a picture of herself, wearing a bedazzled top that had Boozer’s #12 on it. She tagged ‘At Your Best’, a custom game-day sports apparel brand, in her post.

Boozer and Lauren first met when they were in high school. They have been dating since 2023. Lauren is currently a student and a cheerleader at the University of Miami. They often use their social media profiles to post each other’s pictures and leave heartwarming comments.
Jon Scheyer on Cameron Boozer’s Performance Against TCU
Boozer has become a huge threat to every Duke opponent. We often see teams coming up with special strategies to slow down his pace or affect his scoring. The TCU Horned Frogs tried to do the same thing.
However, their strategy didn’t work as Boozer had a game-winning performance, dominating on both sides of the court. After the game, Duke head coach Jon Scheyer heaped praise on his star player.
“He affects the game in all ways,” he said. “That’s how we got separation.”
While the numbers help keep track of his performances, Scheyer had previously said that Boozer doesn’t care about his numbers. He is always focused on helping his teammates, dominating, and winning games.
“He’s all about his teammates,” he said. “He’s not about numbers. He’s about winning. And I think when your best player’s that way, it becomes contagious, and it has a big effect on the rest of the group.”
Putting the team above everything else has helped Boozer become a leader at a young age, and it has helped the Blue Devils dominate games throughout this season.
