Caleb Wilson is one of the biggest names in college basketball right now. He is one of the most talented and most talked-about players among fans and has sparked new life in Hubert Davis’ North Carolina Tar Heels. UNC has benefited from his commitment straight away as well. He has started his freshman season in blistering form.
Wilson is averaging 19.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game. His almost double-double average has propelled UNC back to a confident group. Davis’ side is 19-5 overall and 7-4 in the conference. Although there are many better teams than the Tar Heels in the ACC, adding Wilson has pushed the program in the right direction.
However, Hubert Davis and UNC have been hit with a big shock recently. UNC has won four out of the last five games with Caleb Wilson at the center. They emerged victorious against difficult opponents, Duke, Syracuse, Georgia Tech, and Virginia. However, that winning streak was snapped against Miami in the last game, and that wasn’t the only bad news. Wilson has suffered a fracture in his hand.
Earlier, Hubert Davis issued a statement that seemed positive, and fans sensed that Caleb Wilson was not seriously injured. However, the latest update is concerning and worrying.
“UNC star forward Caleb Wilson is out with a fracture in his left hand, the school announced. There is no specific timetable for his return at this point,” the post was captioned.
