AJ Dybantsa is widely expected to be the first pick at the NBA Draft later this summer, and with the BYU star already turning heads in the premier basketball competition in the world, money is expected to come pouring in.
First round draft picks in general make well over eight figures in their contracts if recent history is anything to go by, and with Dybantsa strongly reported to be the first overall pick, the teenager could be looking at a massive payday very quickly.
So the natural question for most people after knowing this information is, what will he do with this kind of money? Most of us will never see such a sum in our lives, so the possibilities seem endless for the young man with the world at his feet.
And it appears AJ plans to spend big with whatever he makes, with plans to first buy a house, a car and even a chef.
He said the same in an interview recently, first mentioning the house but later confirming he would prefer having a chef so he doesn’t have to bother cooking.
“A house or car, both. Actually a chef. I’m getting a chef cause I don’t have to cook,” he cleared out.
AJ Dybantsa the Lead Name in Mock Drafts
Mock drafts around the country seem to have AJ Dybantsa leading the way in this year’s NBA Draft, largely owing to his success at BYU in a short period of time.
While there were some eyebrows raised when Dybantsa, whose talent was well known from his high school days, decided to commit to BYU over other bigger basketball schools in the country, he quickly adapted to the team’s demands and became the main man in Provo.
This was most recently visible at the NCAA Tournament where Dybantsa’s class shone through on multiple occasions.
