Four-star offensive tackle Kennedee Jackson has become the hottest name in Southeast recruiting. The Lithonia, Georgia, native has drawn offers from among the top programs in the SEC and ACC.
Standing around 6-foot-6 and pushing close to 300 pounds, Jackson is one of the top offensive tackle prospects in the 2027 recruiting cycle. He is ranked the No. 8 OT in the 2027 Rivals300.
Where Will Kennedee Jackson Commit?
Kennedee Jackson is expected to announce his commitment on June 10th. He has narrowed down his choices to seven schools. The following teams are firmly in the mix for his commitment:
- Florida Gators
- Texas Longhorns
- Georgia Bulldogs
- LSU Tigers
- Tennessee Volunteers
- Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets
- Auburn Tigers
According to On3’s prediction, Georgia Tech leads with 24.5% chances, probably because this is the nearest program. Another near program, Georgia, comes second with 21.4%. Rounding out the top five are Auburn, Florida and LSU.
Even though the Bulldogs are behind the Yellow Jackets in the rankings, they are strongly positioning themselves as the top destination. The program has a rich recent history and is rank by legendary football coach Kirby Smart.
Moreover, Jackson has previously described Georgia as his “dream school.”
“Man, it was one of the most exciting moments in my life,” Jackson said. “That was my dream school. It has always been my dream school. I was raised on Georgia and then hearing about them wanting me? Crazy. It was just crazy.”
Georgia is known for developing offensive tackles NFL ready.
However, count out Florida at your own peril. Jackson recently visited Florida and reportedly came away impressed. His early connection with offensive line coach Rob Sale could make Gainesville a potential pivot.
Meanwhile, Auburn recently hosted Jackson for a visit, while Georgia Tech was among the first schools to offer him.
At this stage, Georgia appears to be the safest prediction. Jackson’s acknowledgement of the program and its rich reasons are the primary reasons behind this conclusion. Florida appears to be the biggest challenger and even though the Yellow Jackets don’t make much sense, there might be something that Jackson would like there more.
