Did Trinidad Chambliss Get An Extra Year of Eligibility? Insider Claims NCAA’s Decision Not Final Straw For 7th Year QB

There were still several storylines for Ole Miss QB Trinidad Chambliss that were going on before the NCAA denied his bid to play for one more year after playing college football for six years. From him possibly transferring to LSU and joining his old coach, Lane Kiffin, at Baton Rouge to staying at Ole Miss and helping the team get their revenge against Kiffin, who left them ahead of their playoff run.

These are not happening anymore after that NCAA decision. However, it seems that Chambliss himself has not yet given up, and his agent, Tom Mars, is ready to help him, according to insider Kirk Herbstreit. In his “Nonstop” podcast, the college football insider says that Chambliss may be taking it to the state level and that his attorney is confident that they could win.

“Sounds like his agent, Tom Mars, is still very bullish on being able to getting him that extra year. Now I think it’s gonna head to the state of Mississippi,” he stated. “I do know that Tom Mars is very confident that he will win this case and that Trinidad Chambliss will have an extra year.”

Still, confidence or not, Trinidad Chambliss still has to win that case first, should it go to the Mississippi state courts. The quarterback has won against the NCAA before, though he may be pushing his luck this time. Time can only tell if the courts allow him back for another season of eligibility.
