Miami Hurricanes star quarterback, Carson Beck, is one of the best QBs in his draft class. The 2026 NFL Draft is set to begin today, and Beck has been creating a lot of buzz around his name among major franchises.
Beck started his college football career with the Georgia Bulldogs in 2020. He won two national titles with the Bulldogs in 2021 and 2022. In January 2025, Beck decided to transfer to the Miami Hurricanes for his last season in college football.
The 23-year-old took the Hurricanes to the national championship game, where they lost to the Indiana Hoosiers. During his two national title wins, Beck was the backup quarterback for the Bulldogs.
Winning the title with the Hurricanes would’ve given the quarterback a major boost. Still, Beck is considered to be a late first-round pick in this year’s draft. His family, friends, and fans are excited to see where he lands tonight.
Beck’s sister, Kylie, recently posted a picture with the star QB on her Instagram story. Kylie wrote a heartfelt message as her brother gears up for the draft.
“Everything Hallelujah,” she wrote. “Blessed, grateful, and honored to cheer you on!! Draft week is finally here.”

Kylie has been the biggest supporter of her brother’s career. She often attended his games and cheered for him on social media. She has been a constant presence since Carson started making a name for himself in college football.
Carson had 3813 yards with 30 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in his last season with the Miami Hurricanes. Even though several analysts and pundits have outlined a few flaws, he is widely regarded as a dependable, long-term quarterback.
Carson Beck is a “Bit of a Loner”
Talent alone isn’t enough for a player to make a splash in the NFL Draft. Teams expect players to have a great overall personality, especially for those who are likely to be first-round picks. Beck checks most of the boxes.
One of the biggest drawbacks that has been reported about him is his personality. As per Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer, NFL teams have heard that he is a “bit of a loner,” who is more likely to be a villain.
“He’s talented enough, smooth, on time, sees it well, he’s smart — probably the smartest kid in the class,” an NFL coordinator told Albert Breer. “But the personality is tough. I wouldn’t touch him.”
This could potentially hurt Beck’s chances of being a first-round pick.
