“If He’s So Fat, Why Couldn’t Dalton Rushing Catch Him Stealing?” – Fans Go Berserk Over Dodgers Catcher Calling Miguel Amaya ‘Fat F**k’ Confirmation

Just a month into the new season, Dodgers catcher Dalton Rushing has sparked several controversies by hurling unnecessary insults at opposing players. Initially, he suggested the Rockies were cheating during a game. Later, he appeared to have verbally abused Giants’ Jung Hoo Lee after Lee was injured at the plate.

Most recently, Rushing called Cubs catcher Miguel Amaya a “fat f–k” after Amaya stole a base during a three-game series at Dodger Stadium. While many sources confirmed Rushing’s comment through lipreading, fans have lashed out at the Dodgers catcher for hurling insults at his Cubs counterpart.

After Nico Hoerner confirmed Rushing’s comment about Amaya, fans were quick to react on social media, firing shots at the 25-year-old.

“If he’s so fat, why couldn’t Rushing catch him stealing?” one fan commented.

“Rushing is too dumb to know his comments make him look dumb since he couldn’t throw that ‘fat f—‘ out. Yeah, Amaya is really slow, and to slack off and not get him out only makes you look stupid,” another fan commented.

“Literally, my initial reaction when my wife told me about this. “You mean after he caught him stealing, right? Wait, like he got run on and then called the dude fat?”,” yet another fan commented.

Fans continued to voice their varied opinions on the issue, with one even suggesting that the MLB should take note and impose a punishment on the catcher for repeatedly hurling offensive remarks at opponents this season.

“Can you imagine what he must say about his teammates behind their backs? Lmao, I wouldn’t want him on my team. The most cliche douche bag,” one fan commented.

“This is the second or third time this idiot has done this. MLB needs to issue punishment for this. Rushing is a clown,” another fan commented.

“Pitchers need to start throwing at his head,” yet another fan commented.

Despite the Controversies, Dalton Rushing Has Made an Amazing Start to the Season

While Rushing has drawn major flak this season, the catcher has been nothing short of exemplary with his hitting at the plate. So far in 2026, Rushing has a .348 batting average, with seven home runs, 17 RBIs, and 1.271 OPS in 15 games. He has scored 13 runs and registered 16 hits in 46 at-bats this season.

Rushing is projecting amazing numbers this campaign due to his consistent offense at the plate. As per current trends, the backstop is projected to hit 37 home runs and register 89 RBIs this season.
