Arch Manning is heading into a season that will confirm whether he will be the top prospect in the country entering the 2027 NFL draft. Despite his hype sitting at an all-time high in many circles, his name, image and likeness value reportedly doesn’t match. Per On3, Manning’s NIL value dropped $4.3 million from $6.8 million to $2.5 million between 2025 and 2026.
In response to the On3 valuation, NFL analyst David Pollack posted a video clip on Wednesday arguing against the assessment. He said that Manning’s value was higher.
“I don’t think people realize how good he is. … I would not agree with that number,” Pollack said. “I believe he’s valued at least at the same as where he was. He’s one of the top five quarterbacks in the country. … That number that’s down, buying him low? I’d buy him low then, and he already went through all the scrutiny. Now, I think he gets to go ball with a fresh set of toys around him.”
Manning threw for 26 touchdowns and seven interceptions in 2025, delivering a more productive season than his nine touchdowns and two interceptions in 10 games in 2024. However, his completion percentage saw a significant drop between the two years, from 67.8% in 2025 to 61.4%. 2026 will be his chance to remove all doubts. It has also seen him slump to No. 52 on the On3 NIL 100.
College Football Legend Takes Sides on Arch Manning’s Prospects
Arch Manning already had one analyst on his side, and he has now received an endorsement from arguably the most well-known retired name in college football. Former Alabama Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban delivered his remarks in a “Get Up” video clip posted by ESPN on Thursday.
“I think Arch is an outstanding quarterback,” Saban said. “I think the way he played down the stretch last year at the end of the season, he proved himself. I think now he’s becoming a better leader; I think they have a more mature team. … He certainly has the capabilities to lead them to a championship.”
Armed with the endorsement of the two analysts, Manning will face the need to live up to expectations. The quarterback’s first game of the season will take place against Texas State on Saturday, Sept. 5.
