Zachariah Branch Draft Projection: 5 Potential Landing Spots for Georgia Receiver

Zachariah Branch is in the midst of a pressure-packed moment in his career, and his recent arrest only made things more complicated. With the NFL draft still young, it is unclear how much of an effect it will have on his stock.

However, considering that the charges amount to two misdemeanor charges of obstructing a law enforcement officer and public sidewalks and streets (ESPN), and the bail was a mere $39, it is unlikely to tumble his stock for any team that looked into it. Still, there could be an effect, but it isn’t likely to significantly delay his entry into the league. Here’s a look at five potential landing spots for the wide receiver.

Logical Landing Spots for Zachariah Branch

    #5 – Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers are clearly interested in beefing up the wide receiver room after a video went viral of the Steelers calling Makai Lemon before he joined the Philadelphia Eagles. As such, Zachariah Branch could be one of a few backup names the team is targeting. Branch’s addition would help set the team up for a post-DK Metcalf world.

    #4 – Atlanta Falcons

Zachariah Branch could be a boost for the Atlanta Falcons, a team with only Drake London to consider as a star in the wide receiver room. Michael Penix Jr. will need one more weapon to complete the set, and Branch’s SEC-leading 81 receptions will set up an impressive one-two punch with plenty of depth.

    #3 – Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins made the unsexy picks in Day 1, but after moving on from Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, Miami will eventually need a receiver. If Zachariah Branch’s arrest drops his stock enough for Miami to view the upside over the cost, Miami could view the addition as a net positive.

    #2 – San Francisco 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers did not make a pick in the first round and still have a need at wide receiver after the exodus that took place earlier this year. Mike Evans will be the mentor, but San Francisco needs someone to learn under him. That could be Zachariah Branch, who showed plenty of spark with 811 receiving yards in 2025.

    #1 – Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals already drafted the best running back prospect in the draft at No. 3. Expect the team to push hard for a receiver in Day 2 to pair with Marvin Harrison Jr. and Kendrick Bourne. It’s clear that Arizona has put an emphasis on building the best surrounding pieces for a new quarterback in 2027, so adding Branch would be in line with that, perhaps in the third round.
