South Carolina Gamecocks defensive star Bree Hall is currently preparing for the 2025 WNBA Draft following her team’s loss to a stacked UConn side in the final of the NCAA Championship.
During her time in South Carolina, Hall won two national championships and three SEC Tournament titles, making her one of the most successful players in the program’s history. But to many’s surprise, she has a sister, Brooklyn, who is a baller in her own right and will make the jump to college ball soon. Let’s take a closer look.

Who Is Bree Hall’s Sister? Meet 4-Star Recruit, Brooklyn Hall
Bree Hall’s younger sister, Brooklyn Hall, is one of the most talented prospects in all of high school basketball at the moment, a four-star prospect from the class of 2026 attending Western Reserve Academy.
Brooklyn is also ranked among the top 100 prospects in the nation according to ESPN’s HoopGurlz Recruiting Ranks.
Similar to her sister, Hall is an extremely gifted defensive player. With quick reads and a wingspan capable of shutting down opponents, Brooklyn can play multiple positions.
The Western Reserve Academy is also a dangerous threat offensively, averaging 18.1 points per game this season for the high school.
Brooklyn’s sister, Bree, has consistently been one of her biggest supporters. She posted a TikTok of her relishing in her younger sister’s success upon making her first round of unofficial visits back in 2024.
@breezyhall_ aww im so soft 🥹… it feels like she was just on a visit with me to south carolina 😭! #wbb #fyp #basketball #d1hooper #siblings #collegevisit #unofficialvisit #d1athlete #sister #littlesister ♬ BIRDS OF A FEATHER – Billie Eilish
Brooklyn has also received offers from multiple Division I programs, including an offer from Mississippi State.
Another party who should also be keeping an eye on the high schooler’s progress is the South Carolina Gamecocks head coach and Bree Hall’s former head coach, Dawn Staley, who has a gap to fill in her side with Hall set to depart for the WNBA.
Dawn Staley Claims WNBA Prospect Bree Hall is an ‘All-Time Defensive Player’
According to South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley, Hall is one of the best defensive players in program history and will leave a huge hole to replace.
The senior guard committed only 41 fouls across 35 games this season, averaging under 1.2 fouls per game. This included one of the best defensive performances of the season, as Hall locked down Yarden Garzon in her team’s clash against Indiana. She limited the guard, who averaged 14.4 points per game this season, to just 10 points, going 4-13 in attempts.

“Bree’s an elite defender. It’s elite—the things that she does, the people that she has to guard,” Staley said. “In my 25 years of coaching, she’s on my all-time defensive team—all the players that I’ve coached —because she’s very consistent with it, and she relishes the challenge.”
The WNBA Draft is set to take place next week on April 14, where Hall is projected to go late in the first round or early in the second.
