Nell Angloma’s WNBA draft stock is rising with the latest projections predicting the French basketball player to go fifth overall. Angloma was born on June 12, 2006, in Évreux, France. She has represented her homeland in international competitions.
Angloma spent three years at INSEP, a French boarding school known for training elite athletes. Her first professional contract was a three-year deal with Basket Lattes Montpellier Agglomération in France’s top women’s league (LFB). In her freshman season (2024-25), she averaged 5.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game.
Last December, she scored a career-high 31 points against Angers, where she shot 9-for-11 from the field, including two 3-pointers. This past season, she averaged 15.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. Her scoring numbers only trailed Angers’ Anna Ngo Ndjock in the league.
Angloma has also played for France in international tournaments. She won Bronze at the U17 World Cup (2022), became champion at the U18 EuroBasket (2024), where she was announced as MVP. Moreover, in the 2025 U19 World Cup, she was the team’s leading scorer and earned All-Second Team selection.
Angloma, considered one of Europe’s best young prospects, has the ability to drive to the basket and can score efficiently from mid-range. She can play both as a wing and a forward.
