South Carolina’s Chloe Kitts has certainly had a difficult season. More to the point, she hasn’t been able to participate this season due to a season-ending torn ACL in her right knee during the preseason training camp. Thus, the 2025-26 women’s college basketball season came to an end for her even before it started.
That doesn’t mean she’s not enjoying life as she recovers and eyes up a return in 2026-27 or in the WNBA. In her latest Instagram post, the Gamecocks star can be seen enjoying life and showing her best outfits.
On the post’s caption, she wrote:
“hard to forget”
A few South Carolina players took some time to cheer on their injured teammate, reacting to the post in the comment section. Here’s what Tessa Johnson wrote on the comment section:
“COULD NEVER FORGET DAT SEXY THANGGG”
Ta’Niya Latson also left the following comment:
“😍”

Before the start of the season, Chloe Kitts was considered a potential first-round pick in 2026’s WNBA Draft. However, her season-ending injury has made that stock assessment uncertain, although she hasn’t confirmed or denied whether she will declare for the WNBA Draft or not.
Kitts has been with South Carolina for three seasons, two of them as a key starter. She won the NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship in 2024, and was named the 2025 SEC Tournament MVP.
Coach Dawn Staley On Chloe Kitts’ Season-ending ACL Injury
When the news of Chloe Kitts’ season-ending injury broke in mid-October of last year, South Carolina’s coach Dawn Staley told the following to the press about her as a player and what the situation meant:
“We hate this first for Chloe, who has worked incredibly hard to become the best version of herself on the court this season. Her teammates are capable of stepping up, and I know that her competitive fire and tenacity will be felt from the sidelines as she pours what she can into them to ensure our team’s success.”
While her WNBA Draft stock is uncertain now, a return for a fifth and final season with the South Carolina Gamecocks is absolutely possible. Given her situation, she can claim a medical redshirt for the 2025-26 season.
Only time will tell what she will do, but her career is far from over.
