Sarah Rambus Transfer Portal: 5 Potential Landing Spots for Oregon Star

After losing guard Elisa Mevius, a second player has announced that she is leaving the Oregon Ducks shortly after they lost to No. 1 Texas during the NCAA Tournament, according to On3 reporter Talia Goodman. Forward Sarah Rambus, a junior, was a starter for the Ducks for most of their games this season.

Rambus started in seven games and averaged 6.3 points per game and 2.4 rebounds per game, playing her entire college basketball career with the Ducks, appearing in over 100 games. Technically, however, she is still with Oregon, as the transfer portal would not open until April 7, after the National Championship Game. Here are five places where she could do well:

5 Programs Sarah Rambus Could Go To

    Vanderbilt Commodores

Right now, Vandy has a lot of guards, too much in fact. With some seniors slated to leave, this means that the Commodores might need to shore up with some size by adding more forwards, and this is where Sarah Rambus could shine, as she could become a spark for Vandy, which came off a winning season this year.

    Oregon State Beavers

Rambus could also do the funniest thing and not leave the state, but go to Oregon State instead. Like Vandy, Oregon State has too many guards and several senior forwards who are about to leave. With her experience, she could shore up their frontline well.

    TCU Horned Frogs

With Marta Suarez leaving, TCU could be the new home for Sarah Rambus. The team will be in need of forwards once the current crop of seniors leaves, and with her experience, Rambus could fill in for Suarez.

    Baylor Bears

Unlike most of the teams here, Baylor does have a lot of forwards who are not projected to leave anytime soon. However, this could still be attractive for Rambus, as the Bears are known for developing good forwards.

    USC Trojans

USC has a very potent backcourt with Jazzy Davidson and JuJu Watkins, which is well-known. However, they have a very underrated forward development. With that, the Trojans could be her next stop.
