For a third year in a row, the South Carolina Gamecocks have made it to the NCAA National Championship Game, and one of the players responsible for that is point guard Raven Johnson. She has been named the SEC Defensive Player of the Year and has a plethora of defensive and guard-related awards to her name as she contained plenty of opposing guards throughout college basketball this year.
This has many people wondering is she single or is she dating somebody? The answer is the latter, and her boyfriend just won the Super Bowl. This is because she is currently dating Seattle Seahawks defensive star, Nick Emmanwori, who also used to play for South Carolina during his college days. Much like his girlfriend, Emmanwori made a name for himself for his defensive capabilities, and this gelled well with Seattle’s legendary defense.
While Nick Emmanwori has never won the national title with the Gamecocks for football, he has won the Super Bowl with that patented Seattle “Dark Side” defense. Meanwhile, Johnson two national titles with the Gamecocks and is looking for her third one under Dawn Staley after winning it in 2022 and 2024.
As the Super Bowl happened, Johnson was busy with the college basketball regular season. While she could not go to San Francisco to cheer him on, she did come with some custom Nick Emmanwori pants that features them and also a reference to the Seattle Seahawks ahead of a South Carolina game.
The Atlanta native is very supportive of him and has been seen wearing custom outfits or Seahawks colors before.
Dawn Staley Wore Nick Emmanwori Jersey During Super Bowl LX in Support of Raven Johnson
Ahead of Super Bowl Sunday, the Gamecocks were on the road to take on the Tennessee Volunteers. During that game, it was not just Raven Johnson showing support for Nick Emmanwori and the Seattle Seahawks, but Dawn Staley as well. The coach was rocking a No. 3 Seattle Seahawks jersey in support of Raven Johnson’s boyfriend.
Staley is a very famous Philadelphia Eagles fan but she was more than happy to change allegiances for just one game for her star guard.
